View Full Version : That "pressure" under the ribs
I have been getting pressure under the ribs in which my midwife has explained them to be bubs' limbs under there, which is fine......but do you find that if you don't move or change position to shift bubs, that you get a tingling feeling under the ribs until you do move?

I use to get those pains throughout majority of the pregnancies but mine were more like a stitch more than anything. It use to hurt ALOT. I found that when you stand say 2 foot away from the back of a chair and lean putting you hands on the back of the chair the baby will shift itself. This is what you do when trying to get bubby out of the breech position.
Tingling?? Feels more like a double decker bus just parked under my ribs
Getting on all fours on the floor really helps.
I found I got that tingling with my last. It's was so annoying. I only got it on the right side though, he didn't like the left side!
It's perfectly normal  (either that, or we're both wierd :p )

Oh yes the " Im going to swing of your ribs & you cant stop me " feeling yeahs its great
As wattle said try & get on all fours not only does it help with optimal positioning but it also helps relieve it a little.
I didnt even get a break when bubs engaged & my belly dropped cause he was so big he took the chance to really stretch out :crying:

Hi Sharon
I get that too, I am 28 weeks pregnant and I feel the pain under my right rib..and I know the feeling you mean with the tingling, mine kind of feels like a burning hot or cold feeling.....I do a few stretches or just lightly rub the area and bub then moves...I feel it more if I have eaten alot!
hi
i have also been having this weird feeling under my ribs (right side)..it is esp painful after i have had a heavy meal. i suspect its the kiddo's feet or something but the doc assured me that it is due to streching of the uterus. i am worried coz i read somewhere that appendicits and gall stones also cause a pain on the right side..
