Hi everyone
Just wondering if anyone has or has had symphysis pubis dysfunction.

I have read previous threads and links about this and am 100% sure I have it :( . I am going to see the doctor this week about it.

I have booked into the Ipswich Hospital, will I have to go to physio there or somewhere else.

Apart from changing birth positions during labour, does SPD make labour more painful?

Hi,
I have been induced with my last two babies due to this condition. I also went to Ipswich hospital. I did do physio there. I found it didn't affect my birth at all but I have heard some people have it so bad that they can't open their legs enough. I could only just walk (very slowly) by the end of my pregnancies and I understand how painful it is. Physio can help you to learn how to move better but it wont fix it. The only thing to give relief is having bub. Ihope it all goes well for you. If you are going to the mwc talk to them and Iam sure they will help. Physio at the hosp is free but if you go elsewhere I think you will need to pay.
good luck
