How long does it take from eating something to it gets into breastmilk? Also what foods effect your baby? I have a very sad baby and need to eliminate any potential problems.
thanks cindy

A study done last year demonstrated that food started infusing your breastmilk with different flavours within 20 minutes of you consuming them.
Just about anything can affect your baby via your breastmilk. A baby can be allergic to, or intolerant of, just about any food stuff. What symptoms is he having, and have you seen a lactation consultant?

I'm doing the same trial and error myself ATM:)
So far it seems to be something from the day before like 12hrs approx and I have eliminated cabbage and excessive sugar. Now to work out what I had yesterday that was new that may have caused her issues.
Tricky isn't it:yes:
