Hi There,

I have a DD who is 3 yrs 3 months and of late she has been taking of her nappy and saying I have done a poo or wee wee. So I think she wants to be TT again. If I take the nappy of her and just has no undies on she will take herself to the potty and do wee wee or poo. However, if I put training pants on she will wet herself and only tells me after that she is wet.

I do not think she has the recognising of needing to go. What is the best approach to take should I set the timer and take her to the toilet every 30 minutes or should I let her take the lead. I have had friends say that it should only take 2 weeks.

What are your thoughts.

I just put a potty in the lounge room for a few weeks..

He was like oh whats that.. Occasionally sat on it. Then about a week later started sitting on it. Doing number 1 and 2s.. After a week moved into bathroom

A month later we stopped using night nappies and started using the toilet and never looked back..

The most stress free way ever.. My first son was an effort!

It sounds to me that she does have the feeling to go. Why not just let her run around with no undies on for a few days. That's what I did with DS1. Once he got the hang of using the potty (it took a few days ) he started to wear undies full time during the day and is now pretty much trained (it took two weeks)
