Ovulation bleedingg

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced ovulation bleeding. At the moment we are not TTC (still trying to decide if we would like to TTC number 4) but I have been watching my cycle. For the last 3 months when I have ovulated there has been a small amount of bleeding varying from pinkish tinged CM to a few drops of blood. This has only lasted for a few hours and was very light. I also had a bit of a tummyache which felt a bit like AF pain. I have googled and found this is not uncommon but would like to know if anyone else has been through this. I am wondering whether or not to go and talk to my GP.

Hi Rebecca.

I have just finsihed O and I also had O bleeding. Same way as you described. This was the first time its happened to me, but apparently its supposed to be a good sign, especially if you have tinged CM as this means the egg has broken through the follicle, hence confirming O! I also know of lots of women who spot/bleed around O.

No need to worry too much, but if it really concerns you maybe visit your GP anyway just for peace of mind.

It is nice to have a bit of reassurance. I don't think that I will rush off to the GP but just ask him next time I am in!

I had some spotting this time around, but think it was just before O.... unless I o'd earlier then I thought... have heard its normal, but maybe just mention it to your dr next time.

Thanks everyone for posting your replies. I feel a bit more reassured now. I will ask my GP next time I see him but I don't feel like I need to rush in now.
