View Full Version : Bambooty MCN's YAY or NAY
Hi Everyone!
Just wanted some honest feedback on the bambooty nappy range :)
I'm a first time Mum and the bun growing in my oven will be a cloth nappy baby.
I've got some itti bitti's, baby beehinds and bum genius in my starter stash and am about to add some bambooty's too
What are you experiences / likes or dislikes with these ones?
TIA :)
Hi bbyrmsy,
I have one of each type of the Bambooty nappies atm. I think they are really well made nappies and they are nice and trim under clothes.
The ease peasy is just that - so simple to use but can take a day or two to dry, the easy dry dries much quicker and is still pretty simple really.
I liked the nights when I first got them, however I find they are a little too low cut for my DD at night - she is a heavy wetter though so I will give them credit, they don't leak through (only up the back occassionally). I am in the process of modifying them to become day nappies.
In my experience they are quite a small fit so I have had my DD in mediums since 12 weeks (although she has chubby thighs). The other thing a few people comment on is the leg elastic - it is fairly firm and can leave marks on their legs - I don't find this troubles my bubba and may be the reason that I have never had a leak out the sides (with some pretty big poosplosions!!!).
Overall, I rate them pretty highly in my stash :yelclap:.

Thanks Jofema, that's a huge help.
From what I can see on their website I think they look like they'd be great :) YAY can't wait for my lunch break so I can log on and buy!
love em'! .. go for it! .. easy to use, trim, wear wonderfully.
I agree with Jofema that they are quite low cut.. so go for a decent size. I use the night ones on DS when we are going out for a while without easy change access.. they work wonderfully!
that reminds me.. I have been meaning to go and buy the matching t-shirt, I can't wait until summer to have DS in his nappy and tee! sooo cute! :D
Did you buy?
I like them too. Nice and trim and great value, especially with current discounts.
The smalls are sooo cute, they look tiny next to my toddlers nappies! But I'm not sure how quickly a chubby baby will grow out of them so I'd probably get more mediums.
I bought some in large - my ds is slim on only 1kg over the min recommended weight for large and I get terrible wing droop, however I haven't had leaks or anything as a result. nice trim fit, i actually prefer these over itti's as better fit around the legs (in itti's the legs gape once he's done a wee) The easy peasy are good, take ages to dry, if i were to get any more i'd go easy dry, they have internal gussets to hold the boosters in place which i find help the fit too, plus they dry way way quicker....
they are nice and trim,
the main downfall for us is that the leg elastic is too tight on ds's chubby thighs, might be a bit better when he slims diwn a bit.
i would definately start out with mediums, i cant imagine you would get much wear from a S.
as jag said, i use the night ones when we're going out somewhere that may mean a while between changes. as i find them not quite good enough for ds at night
:)
Thanks everyone! I bought a trial package (one easy peasy & one easy dry) in smalls - I got smalls as we have bought mainly mediums in every other brand so I do need a few smalls for the first little while - I'll upsize to mediums if we like them :)
I can't wait to get them.... I didnt realise there were discounts?? I saw a discount code box but didnt' have anything to put in it!
The smalls will be perfect for your newborn , they were the best fitting newborn nappy we had . They did only last a few weeks though , we had the easy dry ones and they dryed really quickly .
awesome! thanks mundy!! glad Ive got something to put the newbie in that will fit from the get go!!
