My one yr old has gone from a bright, bubbly, explorer to a clingy cry baby overnight. She won't leave my side and is permanently attached to my hip. She even screams if i put her down beside me to tie my shoe lace. Has anyone else experienced this? Will it fix itself?

It's probably just a phase- I would take her call- if she wants to be near you then be near her. This will reassure her of your presence. Is there anything different going on in her/your life that could be stressing her? Is she getting new teeth- molars or eye teeth?

When my bubs get like this- I just stay close and after a little while (a few days of weeks) they seem to be just fine again.

I agree with the above, and yes it's usually a phase. To start with, when I read your post, I thought 'no... I don't think Ronan was ever really like this' because he is so flat-out independant now. But then I remembered- he most certainly was clingy for some time... from about 6 to 10 months. Very, very clingy. Couldn't pop him down to brush my teeth, go to the toilet, do anything. And then it was over with and I never thought about it again. So... it will pass and then before you know it, you'll be missing that closeness and wishing you got more cuddles and sloppy kisses then what she'll let you have!

MJ has days like that  I just try to give her the attention that she wants.

 I think most kids go through this phase. My little man was like that for a few months, you would never guess it now though!

Enjoy it while you can, soon it will be a big hassle to even get a hug, there are more important things to do Mum!
