Hi - my hubby and I having been trying for 1 month now. After day 19 I had spotting and when my period was due (last Thursday - 28 day cycle) it didn't come. I also had very increased discharge and felt a little off.
I was so convinced that I was pregnant even though the home test showed negative. I couldn't wait any longer so after 6 days late I had a blood test today and I'm now really disappointed because it has come back negative. I am normally pretty spot on every month (haven't been on the pill for a while).
Now I'm so confused as to when to try again. What if my period doesn't come, do we just keep trying or wait until it comes.
Has anyone been in this situation before. Need your advice please :)
Hey,
we weren't counting days or anything so i'm not much help there...
but (and i know this is probably hard...) try not to worry about it. just relax and have fun trying! as to when, whenever you want!
i know it's hard once you put it out there that you're actually ttc, but really try to relax and have fun, and good luck to you both, i hope it happens for you.

Hey there!
The first month that we tried I was day late, my period is usually about a 28 day cycle but it ended up being almost 40....the test kept showing negative...I had had spotting, was feeling tiered, my brests were tender....and then WHAM I got my period.
I think sometimes you get so excited about trying that your body starts to get confused....also stress can affect you cycle, so that it can be later or even earlier.
Good luck! I hope you get a positive result soon!!!! :)

Hi Chocolate,
Sounds a lot like what happened to me several times earlier this year. My periods were late and I was confused, followed by dissapointment when it finally arrived. I know it's an awful feeling. But don't be disheartened. I'm sure you'll fall pregnant soon.
I personally found the billings method of charting very useful because it doesn't matter if your cycles are regular or irregular. It worked for me.

Thank you all so much for your advice. I feel much better knowing that others have gone through the same.
I have decided to just not stress anymore and let nature takes its course and try not to think about it. It has only been a month so I shouldn't expect these things to happen so soon.
Thanks Nadia for that website - it's fantastic and very informative.
Thanks again for your help.
Take care
