This is so we ( me ;) )can feel a bit better about our crazy mum moments, I feel my common sense left with the placenta
In the last week alone I've
Gave dd who is 6 weeks, 6 times the recomended dose of infacol, I did this for 3 days before realizing
I locked myself out on our back balcony 3 stories up, I was outside for 20 minutes while dd cried alone on my bed :-(
I spilt 20mls of EBM and cried literaly over spilt milk
I feel asleep during bf dd at 4.30am woke up at 7.30am with dd sleeping soundly inbetween dh and I with out an inch to spare I have no idea how she got there as she would of been on my chest when u fell asleep, it's amazing we didn't squash her

I count each scoop of formula as it goes in, the morning, a little sleep deprived, I got to 10! and of course it was my last bottle so I had to keep poor hungry DD waiting another 20mins while I waited for boiled water to cool.

Ive also put 4 scoops of thickener to 1 scoop of formula, when I shock it up I thought, why is it so thick? total baby brain moment.

Oh yes...
I think baby brain here is worse than placenta brain was. 4 times in the last week I have left my car keys next to the baby seat in the car overnight and only found them the next morning. And yesterday I drove home and then said something to DH about him driving home because I didn't remember I had, not him. :o
On top of that I can't string a sentence together as well as I could before I was pregnant.

My ds is 18 months and I still have moments, at least with bub #2 on the way I now have something to blame it on ;).
I remember making a cuppa for a friend once and filling it up with milk and put a dash of boiling water in it :barf:. No wonder she didn't drink it!
I quite often put ds shoes on the wrong feet and wonder why he is walking funny!
Sitting in the car wondering why the car won't start only to realise it is already running :(.
Oh boy I wonder what I'll be like with 2

I was reversing out of the carpark last week, looking over my shoulder to make sure I didnt hit any cars..... swung the front of our new car right into a pole.... :(

Thankfully, DH didnt care. It was only minor damage but god did I feel sooo stupid, crying to DH on the phone with the front of my car stuck on a pole..... :goodvibes:

You name it, Ive forgotten it, my brain was taken with my placenta.

My worst one was several months ago in the middle of bub just crying and crying I decided I needed to get out of the house. So I put him in the bjorn and grabbed my hand bag, made sure I had a couple of nappies, wipes, dummy and a change of clothes.

The moment the door shut behind I thought, damn, no keys...thats alright, I'll call DP - damn, no phone... thats alright, I'll just go shopping - damn no wallet.

I nearly started crying on the spot. Bub was asleep before I got to the bottom the stairs and I walked the 30 minutes to DPs office and waited until his lunch break, because he works in a secure building... so... I waited out the front with my sleeping baby.... and felt totall naked withoout all my things.

Now I go "phone- check, wallet - check, keys - check" each and every singe time I leave the house. Out loud, so I cant forget!

This is a great thread,,,

Well, i took my wallet but not the money DF left for me and went to the petrol station (had to phone him to transfer money to another account - he laughed)...

Wondered why the car would not start - it was in drive not park...

Went to the supermarket, by the time I got there I forgot what it was I was meant to buy...

Forgot pin number (on many occaisions)...

Forgot my phone number....

The list goes on... Imagine what I will be like after baby arrives LOL

I just thought of a few more, i was calling the bank and couldnt remember my name...that poor girl didnt know what to think. Ive gone to the pool to do laps and upon getting out realised i forgot my towel, only after accusing a group of teenagers for taking it as one had a towel the same colour. When dd was 2 weeks old i got up to get her bottle and forgot to put the formula in, i couldnt figure out why she was not drinking and crying her eyes out. I did the grocery shopping that i asked dh to do - didnt remember i asked him. So he brought home groceries aswell, so we had double of everything. And the list goes on...
