I've noticed there is nappy trading on bubhub and I've had a look around and there doesn't appear to be anywhere to trade items, so I'm wondering if/what sites are good for trading baby items.
Also maybe some feedback on how trading items work and if its a better idea than buying and selling on ebay or MU? (also, which would be better if I decide to sell?)
I have a Baby Bjorn Synergy which I paid a whopping $225 for, which its pretty embarressing when Ithink the RRP is about $180 :banghead: evil babies galore taking advantage of my ignorance!! (or maybe they've had a recent price drop in the last 9 months because I cannot find it at that price anywhere anymore )
And what I really want is an Ergo baby, because my 12 kilo 10 month old is officially too big to be carried in the Bjorn and I would like to continue baby wearing.
Nothing against Bjorns in general, its just that they're suitable to 12 kilos (maybe 12.5) but front carrying is just too hard with him being so big anyway.
The RRP for a Ergo Sport is around $160-170, though I know a few places that if you ask what their best price is will sell for $139 ... but I simply cannot afford to buy one new!
Someone point me in the right direction would be lovely?!?!?!
I have no idea but i cant imagine many people would be willing to swap there Ergos....i would recomend just selling it for what you can get and saving up the differance

Have you tried an ergo? I know everyone raves about them but I had a bjorn which bubs got too big for and then bought an ergo (second hand thank goodness) - I'm not sure who hated it more, me or bubs.... I've been trying loads of them at shops and so forth but am currently using a sling which he can sit in as a seat.
There is also Oztion and of course Monkies Undies.

Yeah, I've had a play with other peoples ones, and yesterday I was completely sold at the baby show. They let me 'borrow' one for a bit of a walk around with bub on my back and it was fabulous. Bub was a bit of a monkey throwing himself backwards, but surely he'd settle into it once he got used to it. The main thing was I was very comfortable.
What did you do with yours? ;)

Sold it to another hubber
I advertised it as my facebook status and sold it that way :)
Actually I have sold a few things that way, maybe try that for your stuff too?

Oooh, I'm pleased with how this is going already. It has 5 days to go, 8 people watching it, 1 person who's met the starting bid of $80.
I'm really hoping it does well
I did a search of ended auctions on Baby Bjorn Synergy's and they seem to go for around $100-$160 depending on the condition and mine is great, though the $160 ones still had boxes and instructions despite still being 'used'.
I'm pretty hopeful. I just need to get $140 because I've got a good deal on Ergos through someone, so as close to that figure would be great and then it wont cost me much. :smiliedance:

Whoo hoo! Now you just have to wait it out :)
Sometimes I think waiting for your auctions to end is like waiting for the lines to come up on a pregnancy test
