Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to get a hold of DCO. I can't find a number anywhere and I ned to talk to a social worker or someone. DH left on Monday and I have lost the plot. He's gone for 4 months and I am nuts in the first week. CAN"T COPE!!!

Thanks,
Taryn.

I have actually found a defence web site with all the numbers. But has anyone used a DCO Social worker or psych?

I have seen a DCO Social worker in the past, and my personal experience.. well.. they are good for offering you a box of tissues, biscuit and a cuppa tea... thats about it.

i think they have a website.. www.dco.gov.au

Havent been online for a while but just want to pass on my well wishes for you and your family, I have been there myself time and time and time and time again lol.

The first time was the hardest, six months separation, followed by nine months, seven months and then six months and that is all within a five year period lol.

Is this the first time he has been away? Is he overseas?? I found it helpful after a few days of being alone to surroud myself with other defence families through the help of DCO, I also joined a craft group for Defence mums here in Brisbane and there on base playgroup too. DCO should be able to offer you some suggestions and coping mechanisms to see you through the next four months.

Great big hugs!

Hi Tarynduggan,

When you see DCO let me know how you go... I have to go and see one probably this week, as DH might be moving here to Townsville, so i have to see DCO to say yes i want him here!
