4 Weeks is still very young! I'd would say she's just getting used to life in the world. You can try feeding her a little more up-right and keeping her upright for 5 - 10 mins after each feed, this usually helps. Also putting a rolled up towel or something under the head end of the matress in a cot or something to raise the head end so that she sleeps slightly inclined. If these things help at all, I'd take her to a Dr and have her checked out for reflux. A great colic natural medication is the Brauers cloic relief. Made a huge difference to our DS :)

Also, baby massage gently on the tummy in clockwise motions and lying her on her back and "cycling" her legs as though she were peddling on a bike can help relieve wind. Hope this helps! We had so much trouble with this ourselves but it's a lot better now :)

Hi there,
We had a colic bubby girl and it is no fun at all, I know what they're going through.

We found Infants Friend to work really well. We tried every sort there was from the chemist and that worked the best for us, but all bubbies are different.

We found bub would only get to sleep if she was sitting up over our shoulder. I used a baby carrier so I could walk around with her. The movement seems to move the bubbles.

Another thing we tried which worked sometimes was to have a warm wheat bag and put them on their tummy on it.

Just be there for her as it really is a very stressful time. Everyone said it would get better and it does.

I second the Infants Friend and the warm wheat bag.......but make sure it's not too hot ;)
