Playdough in the carpet

Evening everyone. I was just cleaning DD's desk, and I found heaps of playdough stuck in the carpet, does anyone have any tips on getting playdough out of the carpet?:fingerscrossed:

Wait until it dries (as in rock hard) wack it a few times to break it up, sweep up all the big lumps then go over a few times with a vaccum cleaner. Any bits that are still stuck will need to be picked out by hand.

Whatever you do DON"T wet it !!!! Homemade playdough has food dye in it and if you wet it it the dye will run into the carpet and stain your carpet permanently. (play-doh brand playdough is even worse because the colour is brighter)

I've always waited for it to dry out, and then scraped it off the carpet with a butter knife or similar :)

If anything is left over, take to it gently with an old clean DRY toothbrush to get it out.
