Hi all

I am expecting bub#2 in November, DS will be 20 months and i am wondering if i should get a double stroller or just the toddler seat for my Valco pram?

My DS has always slept in his pusher and still does....

What do other think? Any recommendations?

Thanks

My dd and ds are 17 months apart.

I would say it depends on what you want to use the pram for. I had the valco with the toddler seat on the front and thought that with the extra weight on the front wheel it was hard to push - even though dd is very petite. I really noticed when walking a lot and trying to get and down gutters, bumps in the road etc.

Also you really can't use the toddler seat without the bar that goes across the front of the pram because it provides support for the seat - no one bothers to tell you this until you go back to the shop to complain about the lack of support in the seat.

It would also be pretty uncomfortable to sleep in the toddler seat, they are not very deep or well supported on the sides - nowhere to rest your noggin.

The back seat view is restricted which won't really be a problem for a while, but it can become an issue later on. My pair eventually started to fight over the front seat.

With the benefit of hindsight now I would not have gone down the valco road. I ended up with a double tritton trekker, but that is used mainly for walking, my lovlies walk at the shops with now or I use a trolley!

Anyway, that is only my opinion, each to thier own.
