Just after some suggestions for 'up time'. I'm starting to find this time very predictable. DS is almost 11 weeks.

Our usual 'up time' consists of feed, cuddles and sitting up on lap and talking, floor time on activity mat and tummy time, sitting in rocker talking and singing winding down for sleep.

Any thoughts? Ta

I take DS outside into the backyard and we sit on a picnic rug. He's quite happy to just chill there for a while and have a look around, I usually take a book and have a bit of a read. Also can do some more tummy time on the rug.
We usually also go for a walk in the pram each day.

I have tried outside and the pram, I like both ideas but at the moment I need to be careful as this seems to make him sleepy.

I will keep trying as he becomes more alert.

Big thanks!!

when my ds was that young I used to read him books and let him touch the touchy feely pages. Also try your local library, they hold weekly rhyme time sessions where you can, read, play with musical instruments for 30mins. For Babies under 2 only so perfect for your little one

Thanks, I've been meaning to pick up some books. The library sounds like a good idea.

Some nappy off time while outdoors is good, as well as a walking tour of the garden where you carry him and point out all the sights, collect the mail and visit any outdoor pets.

There's a book by Miriam Stoppard called baby's first skills and it is about how to introduce play with your baby it has some ideas. for easy little games etc I got a copy through the learning ladder.

Ta, I like the garden walk idea. I'll keep an eye for the book, as I had her pregnancy book.
