If you contact Child Youth Health they will normally put you in touch with a local mothers group that have babies of similar age.
There are lots of playgroups for babies in the Western suburbs.
Woodville, Seaton,Semaphore and Port Adelaide especially.
You didn't say how old you were but if your a young mummy there is a group called mummylink, that costs $2 so your child can attend creche while you chat with other young mummies. That is located in findon.
(there is more info about that if you look up charles sturt library info)
Im a western burb mummy and i've just started taking my 22 month old to swimming lessons at Thebarton and kindergym at West Hindmarsh.
ParentingSA is a good website to look at for mummy groups as well.
If i can think of anything else i'll post again.
Hope that helps
*hooray for another western burb mummy, we are very rare lol*
OMG, Thebarton, i used to go to highschool there before it became a senoir college. Spent many lunch breaks in that pool over summer. I actually want to get DD into swimming lessons when we get back, might give the Thebarton pool a call.
I'm 35 yrs old & will be near the airport. I know there are some playgroups in Glengowrie which will be close to us.

You're only couple suburbs away from where i'm moving to. Sorry, i got Glengowrie mixed up with Glandore. I just called up playgroup s.a & they emailed me a list of playgroups close to me.

Thought i would advertise it in here since there are a few western burb mummies...
Playgroup in the Park
The 23rd of October at 10 till 1 at Semaphore Foreshore at the end of semaphore rd.
Its Free and has sooooo much fun stuff for the kiddies to do.
I went last year and there was a petting zoo, playdough, bubbles, free live music (the amazing drumming monkeys was one of them), kindergym, musical instruments, painting, craft..
its basically all the playgroups of the western burbs getting together and 'promoting' their playgroup.
DD had a ball
There is even a sausage sizzle and fruit..and its all FREE!!
I definitely recommend it:yelclap:
