View Full Version : Night nappy advice needed

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a really good bamboo night nappy. I've heard that Baby Beehinds bamboo ones are great but I don't think they'll have any more any time soon. Any others that you could recommend that are actually instock would be great.

Even the BB Hemp with the two boosters in with their PUL cover does the trick.

Can always rely on a nappy post from you Sopolicha.
I am currently putting her in the BB's hemp and considered getting more of those but I have heard the bamboo is really soft. Just thought it might be nice and cosy for her at night. I'm probably being silly but the hemp seem so big and hard sometimes.

The bamboo is really soft and thick. The downside is it takes ages to dry, I mean a really long time. The bamboo is exactly the same shape as the hemp. If you can put the hemp in the dryer it goes soft or if you rub it over the end of your table a few times to soften it up IYKWIM. It does get stiff in the sun.

The only other thing I can say that is good for nighttime is a Fleecy Greens and they are as rare as hens teeth. I have heard of people putting more boosting between the outside of the nappy and the cover.

If it is giving you the pip put a disposable on at night. I promise you the evil cloth nappy fairy will not curse your house.

Now I just have to get a dryer, I think this is the most of my problem. I might just invest in a couple more BB's hemp. If I put her in disposables for just one night, she comes up in an instant rash, the poor bugger. I hate having to use that harsh cream on her.

They bamboo ones are just as bad in the dryer. If I knew then what I know now.................

:wave: ooh my favourite topic!!

I have a couple of Tots Bots Bamboozles. I got them in size 2, figuring I'd get more use out of a bigger size - But I use them now as night nappies, I just fold over the front bit at the top and it fits nicely. Then I boost it with a bamboo booster, I have a Bubba J bamboo nappy and I just use that booster, or even one of the BB bamboo boosters. Then I usually put a big TB PUL over the top - but I've recently discovered wool covers, and now he wears his longies to bed over the nappy. Keeps him toasty warm too. I don't get out of bed during the night (I just let him scream himself back to sleep :eek: :p joking, joking, we co-sleep) unless he has done poo's, which it's always really obvious when he does because his farts wake us up (seriously, they sound like someone is roof-rocking us). But his bowels have regulated a bit and he now only does one poo a day normally. And what I'm saying is, the bamboo is so absorbant that I don't need to change him overnight. I put it on him about 8pm, and I change him out of it about 7am when we get up.
I find the TB's take less time to dry than the BB's. I have 3 BBB's, which I do also use as night nappies, but my favourites for night are TB's.

Yeah, you could get yourself a VBSN - if you've got $100 or so to spare :eek:

Did you see Sop the Baa Bum longies? Handknitted, organic merino wool, gorgeous baby seal on one leg - sold for $211 :eek: :eek: I mean, I know it's nice wool, and it's a lovely design etc.... but $211 !!!!!!

Queenie, I did see those seal longies. Imagine a leaky pooey running down on the seals head, it would be criminal.

That much money can feed 5 of us for two weeks.

I meant the odd Greens fleecy pops up now and again or I got a Sandman from Nappy Chappies.

I have been hyenaing and I have some lovely things to show for it.
