My 3 kids will be in school next year and we are building our house, so I would like to go back to work part time initially. I have been a sahm for nearly 10 years and I have lost all my confidence...I am so nervous about going back to work.... I just am so scared of making mistakes, of not being accepted etc etc

I was working in property management previously where I looked after 200 rental properties and was very organised and good at my job. I am looking at something different but I forget how to interact in a work environment and am actually quite anxious about working again. Its baby brain, or lack of adult interaction during the last 10 years that has made me feel like this.

Anyone else been in a similiar situation and will I be okay:D

You'll be fine. Technology may have changed, but overall procedures and office ettique is pretty much the same.

If you've managed three kids and a home for 10 years, you'll slip into an office routine quite easily ;).

It'll be managing the fact that your workload is going to dramatically alter will be the hard bit.

I found that Temp work or short term contract work was a great boost to my confidence. admitently i was only a stay at home mum for 2 years but i had lost all my confidence too. I started back on a 6 weeks contract in a call centre (something I had never done before) where most of the people that were working with me had been out of work for a long time including 1 lady who had been a SAHM for 13 years. after that I temp work for a few diferent agencies and now im back to part time work 4 days a week, which is fantastic specially for my confidence.:) My advice... Just jump right in a do it, tell yourself you can do it, and you'll soon find you feet again.
