hey, we are in kallangur too, just down the road..ive got two boys, 4yrs (nearly) and my little man 7 months..
always keen to get out of the house if you want to do coffee or something :)
mumof3nearly4, you should be proud of yourself! Congratulations with your forth ;-)
You are kind of expert, I believe lol so you must know how difficult to find time to go out... There are so much to do! Especially when you moved to a new place.
So we are happy but a little bit exhausted.
Can you tell me guys what you know about Redcliffe hospital? Before we moved to Kallangur we wanted to go the Mater hospital but now we think about changing a hospital (it is so far away now)... Or do you think we should stick to Mater?

Gent, I have never been to the Redcliffe hospital, but am scared to ever go there from stories told by people in this area. I've never heard a good word about Redcliffe...
Hi there, I am from D-Bay expecting no1 in January, I am booked it Caboolture rather than Redcliffe as I too had not heard anything good about redcliffe but knew of someone who went to Caboolture and had a good experience. Its actually easier to get to Caboolture than Redcliffe for me somtimes as theres a couple of routes you can take.
Been here for about 18 months, move from Perth family all in UK so bit scary for me having first bub and no real support network but thinking it should be ok, DH is very supportive

hi .. yeah coffee sounds great im always up to meeting new people :)
ummm well what can i say about redcliffe hospital well i had my 2nd child theere nearly 3 years ago and had the worst experience of my life...
so with my 3rd child i was booked into caboolture... but unfortunatly her labour was to quick only 2o mins from start to finish and she was born at home
with this pregnancy im booked into redcliffe cause its only 5 min drive and going by my last labour ill be lucky to make it there anyway...lol
i reckon you should have your baby wherever you feel comftable... i wanted to have a planned home birth this time round as well but its 4 thousand dollars :cloud9:
I am in Kallangur as well and now that bub is here I am keen to get out and about.
I have a 8 year old (but he is in school) a 2 and a half year old and a newborn.
mumof3nearly4, you should be proud of yourself! Congratulations with your forth ;-)

I would also recommend Caboolture to have a bub at. I had my DD there 2 and a half years ago and have just had my DS2 there last week and both times they have been amazing and I have had the best births because of them.
I wouldnt reccomend Redcliffe but have heard both good and bad things, but there have been more bad then good.
I'm from the Area as well, I'm in North Lakes and have 2 boys. 5 and nearly 3.
We're mostly out towards Redcliffe, as we love the beach, lagoon and Playgrounds there.
Always up for meeting new people. :)
Hi ladies, im from redcliffe, and yes redcliffe hospital is not that good, i had my daughter there and they woudn't give me epidural  , so gave birth naturally.;) Anyways was just wondering if anyone lives near me would like to meet up, my son is 2 and my daughter is 1 . :D hear from you soon.

definately keen to meet up!! a bbq sounds great!
baam- where in kallangur are you? im just near the primary school :)
as for redcliffe hospital- i had my second bub there in february, i honestly can not fault them whatsoever. i did the amity midwife program, it was awesome, the midwives followed my birth plan to a tee, and always kept asking if i wanted/needed anything extra. i even got to go home that same day after giving birth! i liked it more there than at the Royal brisbane hospital where i had ds1.
so when could we do a bbq? am so keen to get out of the house!!! :D
