I always thought microfiber dried out little ones bums etc and that a liner is always needed with microfiber, is that right?
Cause I was talking to this lady who sells nappies the other day and she was saying no that microfiber does not need a liner etc and that terry nappies do? I use liners anyway but I am a tad confused.

Oh good I am not the only one confused! lol
LOL... this is a bit of a confusing one. I personally prefer to keep micrcofibre away from bubs' skin because it is so absorbent that it can absorb the natural healthy oils from babies' skin. It is very drying, and it has quite a dry 'catchy' feel to it, unlike other dry fibres - something that isn't always liked by parents.
Some people don't mind microfibre against skin, and hence I think its a personal choice.
I understand that tots bots fluffles have microfleece lining them - I don't kow if this is indicative of a caution about putting microfibre directly agaist sensitive skin for long periods of time... but I personally can't see a reason not to use microfibre provided there is another fabric in between the microfibre and the skin.
There was a microfibre discussion recently on OzClothNappies and I am sure it has come up at nappycino... I think the verdict is out ... but if you have any reservations, I would use a liner, or test it out yourself.
I don't think it will hurt your baby to use microfibre without a liner - but I use liners regadless of the fabric inside the nappy.
Others may very well have a different take on it, but I generally don't recommend putting it directly against skin.

I have to admit im not keen on it going against Boof cause of that "clingy" feeling it has so use a liner if i use a microfibre in my Eenee so will continue to do so !

microfibre gives jarrah a red rubbing rash where ever it has touched, i always use a microfleece or fleece liner in his nappies
