My First IVF Appt

Tomorrow is my first IVF appointment. So I've been sitting here with my diary trying to work out LMP and the day I last ovulated, when lo and behold, I start to ovulate! I sms my recipient, C, and she has just started her period!

But back to the subject..... I'm now terrified that they will find some reason for me not to donate. C and I have really gone through some hurdles to get to this point, and now I get the jitters!!!!!

I was sooooooooo nervous before the appointment. Didn't sleep all the night before, because all I could think of was the dr telling me that I couldn't donate.

But :smiliedance:.......................... Dr Livingstone was lovely. He commiserated with me over my obstetric history, and then told me that I would probably be an excellent candidate for donation. I now have to go for a blood test, an ultrasound, and take vitamins.

C was a dear and minded my four out of control children during the appt. Now that I know that they haven't turned her off having kids, I look forward to beginning this process with her.

So that's one hurdle I've jumped over. Let's hope the blood tests don't show anything sinister. I'm sure that they won't, but then again, I never thought that I'd be signing a form declaring that I've not been with a male prostitute within the last 12 months either!
