View Full Version : Lactose intolerance M/S
Hey Girls,
Just a strange question.. Can you become Lacotse Intollerant from getting pregnant? As in like m/s? Strange Question but once I have milk and dairy about 10-15mins afterwards I get light headed and feel sick. I haven't had it with my other 2 pregs but this ones different.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi:yelclap: I am lactose intolerant  Lactose intolerance as far as I know causes things like gas, bloating, diahorrea within 30 mins of eating it.. not vomiting....
What youre experiencing is probably just your body deciding that it doesnt want dairy right now.. morning sickness does different things to different ppl.. for me it was smells, washing powder, purfume you name it, I vomited from just the smell of it!

"The common symptoms of lactose intolerance are nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension, abdominal cramps, and the passing of flatus (air). The degree of symptoms depends on the amount of milk taken in (more specifically, the amount of lactose) and the degree to which the body is deficient in lactase enzyme."
I stand corrected, vomiting and nausea can be symptoms of lactose intolerance..
To answer your question, it IS possible as intolerance can begin at any age (I mean, this milk is meant for baby cows, not humans, so it makes sense really).. but for me, my lactose intolerance started after a bout of Gatro.. when you have the runs really bad it can strip the lining of your intestines and your gut is temporarily (but sometimes its permenant, as in my case) unable to digest lactose.
:hugs: I hope it goes away for your sake... having lactose intolerance sucks!

Have a look at this link from the web page
Fed up with food additives
http://www.fedupwithfoodadditives.info/factsheets/Factwomen.htm#morningsickness
My family are on the elimination diet atm for various issues
I saw a seminar by Sue Dengate who wrote the books and I was quite interested.
Anyway according to the web page your body might be saying
'I can't tolerate dairy this is poison'
But for anyone suffering ms this web page might help
