OPK's

I have just bought 40 OPK's from Oracle Fertility.

I have heard conflicting stories on what to do. Some people say to pee on one twice a day, some people say one a day is ok.

And what day do i start using them. I have a 30 day cycle. How do I tell its positive?

I normally test once a day until the test line starts gettingdark, when I think I'm only a day or 2 away from O'ing. For a 30 day cycle I'd maybe start testing around cd12-13. If you want to test twice a day then I'd do it around 10am and again around 3-4pm, but I think it's recommended that you don't use FMU or use an OPK in the evening. But it definitely doesn't hurt to test twice a day because it is possible to miss the surge - I've done it lol. Testing twice a day should cover all bases, so to speak.

Hi becky , thats a good question . I have been doing opks since af finished , yesterday at about 11am I did an opk and the test line was quite light , then at about 3pm I felt a big amount of cm and sure enough the test line was almost as dark as the control , now if I hadn't of tested again I would have presumed that o was still about a week away and not worried about bd'ing so much , Iam glad I did a second test . I also wouldn't have worried about testing today , but am very glad I did as my test line was darker than the control line.

How you can tell if it's positive is if the test line is as dark or darker than the control.

if your cycle is regular should only need to test from about day 11- 12 ish and be O on day 14 but we all know this does not always happen

I O in 14 but still not BFP so best of luck hope it all works for you
