Our little girl will be one in September. We have bought her a play tent and a clam sand pit. We would really like to get her a keepsake as well. We thought about a bracelet but both agree that we'll wait till she is 5 and starting school.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
a nice picture frame that you can get engraved is great. you put a picture of your family on the party day in it. I don't know about bracelets as I have a little boy, but back in NZ you're not allowed to wear jewellery to school so waiting till she is 5 would mean that she'd not get to wear it if the same rules apply here. We had a silver dummy given to our son for his 1st birthday. also a silver toothbrush holder that has been engraved.

DD was given two bracelets for her first birthday - one is gold and for an older child so we put that one away for her. The other is a sterling silver baby bracelet. Both are engraved with her name.
She has actually worn the baby bracelet a few times on special occasions - we make a big deal and tell her how pretty it is and that's it, she's sold
I think they make a lovely keepsake, I still have mine from when I was a baby :)

I am waiting on a "Mother's Love" rose bush from the Mother's Direct website to commemorate my son's 1st b'day. I was planning on burying my placenta in it's pot, but my placenta has mysteriously disappeared...

How about a pretty cushion with an embroidered message on it. Maybe her name and something funny that she says or does. My mother bought my daughter a special teddy bear which had a little necklace on it that could be engraved.

We had a HUGE party for my dd and took about 700 photos and are making (still) a scrapbook for her. She also got a bracelet and earrings set for later.
