I'm 17 weeks and at the end of my tether. Have tried ALL the recommended remedies and nothing alleviates the vomiting/nausea even a little.
So, My mum calls from Aus. today. She was talking to staff in a health food store. Apparently, in Aus. it is safe to ingest one drop of peppermint essential oil a day and this is supposed to stop the nausea. According to the relevant food safety bureau or whatever. For me, peppermint tea is useless, but I am willing to try anything. However, every online source says a big NO to ingesting peppermint essential oil during pregnancy.
Anyone have an idea?

I wouldn't ingest any pure essential oil, pregnant or not, small dose or not! Even directly on the skin essential oils can burn if not diluted properly

If you really want to try, check with a qualified natropath rather than the retail assistant at the counter.

I do hope our sickness gets better soon, and understand you must be desperate. But don't chance this.
