Ovulation spotting-has it happened to you?

I have never knowingly spotted during ovulation, but this month I did (I only noticed it because I thought I was pregnant and originally mistook it for implantation, even though the opk's were virtually positive).

To anyone who has spotted during ovulation and uses other methods to track ovulation, did you find that you spotted before, during or just after you actually ovulated? It might help me to determine how many dpo I am.

i start getting little tiny red spots about a day before i ovulate the day i ovulate have tiny spots to streaks. hth

Thanks so much for your reply. I have a feeling it was the day before (as opposed to the day of, which I originally thought it was). I had only a small amount of red blood in lots of cm. I'd been doing opk's and that was the first day I had a second line (although it wasn't darker). I'd say there was the chance if I'd kept using the opk's then I would've gotten a positive later that day or early the next day and ovulated the next day or the day after.

I'm clinging to the hope that I'm pregnant. My breasts are mega tender (always a sure sign for me) but the preg test this am was negative. But if I'm only 7 or 8dpo, then a negative pregnancy test would be quite common.

hi bgbg , I never spotted during o until I had ds2 , I find that I spot every second o , and usually just before o , like a few days before. I find the spotting helpful as I know o will be along soon :)
