View Full Version : what sort of highchair?
there seems to be so many types. we got a cheaply off ebay but it's a pain to clean after the carnage of an average feeding time.
So what do you use? is it easy to clean? Did it cost much? Someone help and stop me from going insane with a toothbrush over every single little nook and cranny because it's filled with food!

The ikea ones, I should have bought one! You can just hose them off and there are no annoying little crevices or stupid covers like mine has.

The highchair is $39.95 and the tray is $10.00.
You can get it white, blue or red but all the trays are white.
We also have a little cushion that goes around bubba for extra comfort. That was $10.00.
I love my IKEA highchair :bee:

We sold our fancy Italian one and bought the Ikea Antilop. Never regretted it for one second. Love it.
I agree Ikea Antilop
My little monkey managed to get out of the strap and stand up... but fixed that with some over shoulder straps from Target.
I LOVE my Ikea chair. You can just snap the legs off, then take it into the bathroom and hose it off over the bath if it gets too bad:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I have the Peg perego one and its a little bit of a pain to clean, but the main thing is the tray is so high. We just went away and there was a cheapie in the house and dd loved it the tray was so muhc lower. We'll be going to ikea in the next month or so and we are going to get one of them too, have never heard a complaint about them
I got a Steelcraft Messina, which was a bugger to clean. When I wanted DS to sit up at the table I bought the Ikea one without the tray and I wish I'd just bought it first up.
If you buy the high chair, the tray and the inflatable insert for bubs who need extra support it would still only cost you a third of what my oversized, difficult to clean monstrosity cost!
Can't go wrong with IKEA Antilop, $50 - BARGAIN!
:iagree:another vote for the Ikea. We had a Love n' care one first and it was a PITA.
thanks everyone. i went and got one today. ikea staff seemed a bit perplexed that i didn't want to walk through the entire showroom just to find out what isle the chair was in, in the flat pack section. it took a manager to look it up on a computer for me! lol!
