Hi all, I have been making great progress on getting bub (11 MO) to sleep through, but now he wakes up because he is wet. I tried going up a size in nappies and using ones especially designed for boys, but it is still the same. Do any other Mums have this problem with their boys? Is there any way to solve this problem apart from waking him up to change his nappy earlier in the night?

maybe look into a cloth nappy for night time ..... We converted to cloth a little while ago ... but it was about 11 months when DD started wetting through everything through the night and waking up... so invested in cloth nappies designed for night time and have been dry every since.

Have you tried different brands of nappies? I find the Mamia ones are best for overnight.

I also tried the Huggies pants recently but they might be a little big for your little one. I think they are for 10kgs up. I found them to be good for overnight too.

We have been using 2 nappies for DD2 and they last well overnight, not sure how it would go for a boy.
I use Huggies, then a big Babylove Junior nappy over the top.

We use huggies and our boy goes 12 hours between nappie changes overnight (4.5 months old) and we have no problems - his nappy is very wet in the morning but his skin is dry and he is happy. Maybe try the next size up as someone else suggested.

There are some great cloth nappies specially designed for nights and heavy wetters.

We had this issue with our boy too - he seemed to think he was peeing for Australia

We ended up using cloth nappies - Baby Beehinds Bamboo - and never had an issue after that.

I hope you find a solution that works for you

Hi Guys,

I missed most of your posts til now - those subscriptions don't send notifications sometimes!

I used to use cloth nappies but they always leaked for me so we gave up on them :(

Anyway, I did find a solution - bubs who weighs 9.5kgs is now wearing nappies meant for 13-18kgs at night time. They come out full in the morning but no leaking!

Thanks so much guys for all your advice!!

we would always use the next size up overnigght, but since moving over to cloth, we've had even less issues!

Just in case anyone else looks at this thread, some cloth options are

FluffyBubs (my favorite night nappy)
Sandmans
and issy Bears
:)
