Hi All,
I am trying to understand what is going on with my body. I am 32 years of age, have a regular 28 day cycle and get AF around the 22nd of each month. The last time I had AF was on 23 July 2009, in August, I had the nigglings of AF, but my husband and I 'connected' on 22 August and now, I still don't have AF. It is now 3 Sept 2009, I have done a HPT and got a negative, so trying to see if there is anyone else out there who has experienced the same thing.

Hi babyconfused,
When my dp an I first started trying for our daughter, I had been off the pill for a few months, so my cycles were a little unpredictable...
But I vividly remember that one time I was 6 weeks late for my period - eek- which means around 10 weeks since my last cycle...
It arrived again...I have no idea what happened, but I was convinced that I was pregnant, peeing heaps etc, but negative tests... it just went awol for a couple of months!!! Looking back I was dieting fairly hard just prior TTC, and I have a history of iron deficiency, so maybe my body just was out of whack...or it was a missed miscarriage one or the other, when I finally got my period it was very heavy... I did have quite long cycles after that also right up until around 5 months later when we finally got our BFP... I am almost 34, and even now my cycles are longer than when I was in my 20's...they vary anywhere from 40 - 30 days...
It's frustrating and often scary when you don't know what's happening in your own body I know...
Good luck, I hope you get an answer soon and I hope you get the outcome you wanted!
It is likely you have had a missed miscarriage.
But if I were you, I'd have a chat to your GP and maybe get a BT. Good luck!
