Well, I've been laybying baby stuff lately in preparation for the new arrival and figured I'd check ebay for some of those little velcro nappies. As i'd assumed, they are quite expensive on there, god only knows why the stuff we really need is always so damn expensive.
Anyway I was bidding on some good brand new nappies that id come across that were actually cheap, only to be outbid this morning. Out of curiosity I checked the other bidders ebay account to see who they were. To my dismay they were just another nappy seller who was obviously just going to resell the nappies.
I figured I'd get outbid because the nappies were pretty cheap but it's annoying to be outbid by someone who is just going to resell them when I actually want them for my baby. It sucks. *whine*
Anyway I just wanted to rant cause im p'd off now! :D

Oh I know EXACTLY how you feel!! :banghead:
I have resorted buying mine brand new!! It works out much for muchness pricewise. Its easier. You are guarenteed to get it & you can choose your colour!! (plus you know the resale price of them is good ;) )
I love green kids ones!! www.greenkids.com.au
But there are heaps around.

Grrrr...
Try using Bidnapper or one of the other sniping programs. They win the auction for you with only seconds to go, so unless the other person is using one too, you're likley to win.
You can trial them for free. Most of them let you win 4 things before you have to pay for the service.
Worth a try!

Also, try http://www.ozebaby.com.au
FANTASTIC site, and most of the really good WAHM's who sell their stuff on ebay are on ozebaby anyway. Honestly, I'm a nappy-aholic, and used to buy everything off eBay but now I'm definitely an Ozebaby girl!!!

Cheers for the link :)
Its just so annoying because the person sells nappies made by herself, but im guessing she buys these plain white fluffies velcro ones and just relines them with material. That's hardly making them yourself!
Thats like if I pulled the label off a can of baked beans, relabelled it all fancy like and said they were my own product!
I wanted those nappies. *whinge*

i know ebay can suck like that. but there will be many more nappies to choose from. i think that the cheap fluffies nappies aren't really work the money you spend on them. i would much prefer to buy a green kids or other cloth nappy. at least then i will know that they can be boosted more and will can be boosted especially for my little one. sandra stuffables are good also.
if you want some good advice on nappies have a look at the old threads in the nappy section of bubhub. or you could just ask some of the mothers on here - Veve and Oscars mum are always willing to talk nappies with us.
Yep the best way to go is not to bid until the last minute.
I bought alot of nappies of Ebay, although the one's I got were 2nd hand, so not the same probs.
Good luck in future!

Harlequin - the fluffies really are pretty bad. What was it about those paticular nappies that appealed to you? Perhaps a different type of nappy with the same appeal will be better (and at least they will work).
If you are dead set on trying the fluffies though I have a fluffies nappy I am willing to give to you (you pay postage) just so you can see that they really don't work too well.
