I spent 20 minutes looking for it on Friday, I thought it was on Torrens Rd but could not find it, I want to join one of their playgroups!

The Caboolture Early years Centre is on the Cnr of Manley and Tallon Sts. There is a smaller sub-agency in behind McD's just off Torrens Rd - it's right down the back where Family Daycare is. :)

I have heard about the one on Torrens road they do run some of the play groups, but if you want the 'bees knees' go the main one next to Tafe.. its fantastic, honestly! I love it! Facilities are fantastic, huge playground outside, heaps of activities for the kids to do inside.. and its FREE!

P.s make sure if youre interested in playgroups or using the facilities they have (they hold sessions on different topics regularly too, eg parenting ideas, scrapbooking all sorts of things!) that you go along and support the Early Years Centre.. I was talking to staff and they have to stop holding their after school care program because there wasnt enough numbers! We here in Caboolture are lucky to have such a facility and need to be showing them our support, and by simply attending the playgroups and parenting meetings they have we are showing support:) :australia:

Thanks for the information. :-) We found it today and went in and had a chat with the ladies, I was very impressed with the facilities they have. They have 'Playtime' which is a big playgroup type thing for babies to 4 on Tuesdays from 9.30-11.30am, it's free you just need to bring a piece of fruit to share for morning tea. And on Wednesdays they have 'Community Cuppa' where the kids can play and the parents can have a bit of a chat.
Am going to check it out tomorrow!
Thanks again!

Hi :) Yeh, we havnt been along to a Tuesday play group yet as my son is rather shy (though learning to come out of his shell) so we have started off with the Multi cultural group on Thursdays (which used to be small but is now quit big! ).. I would SO go to the Wednesday community cuppa but its at 12:30 and DS sleeps then :(

Might see you around some time Brocks mum and Leeane ?

Hey Happy2Be3, they used to just do the afternoon Wednesday Community Cuppa but now they also run one in the morning on Wednesday at 9.30am to cater for more people as I reckon most kids 1-3 have an afternoon sleep, so that might be better for you too.
We went yesterday but it had been cancelled.. Maybe due to the rain. Am gonna ring and check they are open today before driving there this morning!@!

Hey everyone

I was just wondering if someone could PM me the phone number for the EYC in Caboolture. Wednesday is the only day I get the car and so this will now be Kirsten's (my daughter's) play group day I have decided.

I have read through your post that there is a Wed morning playgroup at 9.30am and one at 12.30pm?

Also, does anyone know anything about the toy library? Does it cost money etc?

Thanks so much for your help!

Wednesday is still 9:30 as far as I know.. the toy library is free.. they dont have alot, you are actually borrowing from their 'resource' library so can borrow things like threading beads, bubble wands, puppets etc.. its not very big at all but its still great to have a look and borrow 1 or 2 things. Toys/resources are to be returned in 4 weeks time.

Hope that helps :) It is a fantastic facility, I go on a Thursday and am looking at possibly going along some Wednesdays as well :)

P.s Take a hat for you and your child for when/if you play in the playground outside (in the EYC grounds)... no hat no play rule applies at EYC!
