View Full Version : Chicco Physiological Feeding Bottles or Avent???
Hi Guys,
Poppy is 3 months old now and I am finding the the Tommie Tippee bottles and teats I have are just to soft for her and to slow. Because they are the newborn wide neck ones I can't get any faster teats to go with the bottle ( **** ).
So now I am looking at 2 types of bottle and wanting to know if any of you use either of them.
Chicco Physiological Feeding Bottles or Avent???
Any opinions ( good or bad ) would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Amy

I have only used Avent and have found them to be excellent. There are a wide range of flows for teats.
I used them as quite a lot of my friends had used Avent and swore by it as they are also meant to reduce colic.
As bub gets older, you can also buy Avent handles that fit all of their Avent bottles and cups, so they can feed themselves. The sipper cups are non-spill and are fantastic.
We also only use Avent dummy's, when we occassionally use them.

I've only ever used Avent as well and have always been really happy with them.
Aside from DD liking them and feeding well from them, I like the fact that they attach to my breast pump (Avent Isis) and they are wide-neck so very easy to clean :)
I have a Medela mini electric pump and transfer the milk to Avent bottles. They are the only ones we've used and my 2 week old has never had a problem and took to the bottles very easily. I also bought the Avent bottle brush and it's excellent to use and cleans very well.

i too like the avent bottles. i have used them for ebm and for formula which my dd is now on as my milk dryed up. i find that the cheap ones (Woolies brand) are good too now that she is older and easier to take out with us but they are harder to put the formula in as the necks are narrow. the avent ones are great - nice and wide and we don't get spillage.i also like the avent formula containers. i have 2 - one with formula and one with snacks in as the lid doesn't seal tight enough for formula. i like the fact that you can use the same bottle right through. we have got some handles now for the bottles so miss independant can feed herself. we also have a sippy lid in white and green for when we start to cup train. i like the fact that i can use the same bottle and lid - just replace the teat with the sippy attachment. i am also looking at getting a couple of the avent magic cups for her to use before a proper cup.

ive used avent and haven't had any probs with them
Thanks everyone for replying. I might just buy one bottle first with the new teat and see how she goes.
