When should I be looking at stopping feeding during the night? My DS is 6 months now and just started baby rice a few days ago. I am keen to know when to wind down the midnight and 3 am feeding.

hi anna

it probably depends on the individual baby, so i'd say check with your child health person! however, we were there this week and i asked the same question, and she said he probably didnt need it.

are you feeding her yourself? i am, and he is using this as a comforter to get back to sleep rather than needing fed during the night. it is difficult to know how much milk he is getting, but she said to make sure he drank off both sides each time he was fed to ensure he is getting enough. we are now trying controlled crying to cut out the night time wakening! :fingerscrossed:

i dont know about bottle feeding, there must be something on the old interweb to tell you what they need!

ds2 has been on solids for a few weeks, and is now having 3 little meals a day! not sure how much food they should get, but he would keep going as he loves it. :p
