Is anyone more excited about their kids birthdays than they are?

DS birthday is in 24days- his party is in 26 days! And I can't wait! It's all I want to talk about! I have all of his presents (except for his bed which is on layby). I'm just about to do his invitations. I'm so excited!!! DP thinks I'm more excited than DS is!

Yeah, I can't wait either! DS1's birthday is in a couple of weeks time too and I just can't wait until he sees what I have in store for him.

So what are you guys doing for their birthdays? Have you got presents? What are you most excited about?

What have you got planned?

DS is having a Ghost party. I'm not even sure he really knows what ghosts are but he wanted it! We have inviting kids from school (oh, by the way, he's turning 4), we'll be playing games but mostly just having fun at the park. I can't wait.

For his birthday, he's getting a big boy room, with a big boy bed and new bedding. This is the bedding he's getting;

http://www.olivekids.com/designs_TPTX.html

I've got the sheets, comforter, pillows, shams, throw rug, growth chart (personalised) and I also bought matching book ends, a really nice mink blanket, and a photo frame. My parents are going to have him on the Friday night while my partner and I put together his bed. After the party on the Saturday. he'll come home to open his presents and also discover his room. I'm going to close the door and put a big ribbon and bow on the door and balloons throughout the room!

I also got him some lego and maccanno, and my sister is giving him My First Manopoly. I'm most excited about his room and seeing his face when he sees his big boy bed! I wont be able to get him out of it! It'll have to be something really yummy for dinner just to coerce him out of there!

That bedding is just gorgeous! We are getting our DS a thomas the tank engine track set.

DS is turning 3 this year. He has asked for a wiggles party so I'm going to deck out the whole house in red, blue, purple and yellow. He is going to freak out!!!

We are just having a small party at home. With just his cousins there will be 7 kids which is more than enough for me.

I am also going to make the SS Feathersword as his cake. I just can't wait!!!

 I think she share dates. My son's 1st birthday is on 24 September and his party 26 September.

I was really excited (way more excited than about my own birthday earlier this month) but now we just moved house so I'm slightly exhausted, but I've already told everybody we're going to have a party.

That reminds me: must find fun cake recipe...:D

PS. I'm jealous of your son's lego. I loved loved loved lego as a child. Used to play with it for days on end. Best toy ever. My partner always laughs at me because he doesn't think it's a "girly" toy.

 Wow- that's really freaky!

oh- you just reminded me. I haven't even got a cake tin yet. I'm going to make the ghost cake out of The women's weekly cookbook, but I need to get a pudding type cake tin. Oh, and I did want to experiment with it- hmm, might see if I can get it this week.

Giz- DS had a wiggles party last year. He still talks about it! Sounds like a fantastic idea- he'll be stoked. I can just imagine his face with the big eyes and HUGE grin! Makes me all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it!

menhe- you'll get there. Work towards the future and next year you'll be able to plan a FANTASTICO birthday for him. :hugs:

I was for their first birthdays. And their first easter, christmas etc.

Then I just kinda settled down.

But there is nothing wrong with being excited like the OP. I think that's great. :yelclap:

DS Birthday today!

He was a bit stunned about being 4! I told him, and he was asking/telling me 'I'm 4' and 'I'm not 3 anymore'. So cute.

He took his Ben 10 cake to school. Was very excited. I gave them a disposible camera so they could take photos. I can't wait. He's going to have an absolute blast. And tonight we're going to have birthday pizza and ice-cream cake. Can't Wait, Can't Wait, Can't Wait.

DS Birthday party tomorrow. Getting there. A little annoyed at some people and getting slightly stressed but.....I love my family. They make it all better.

I still can't wait til DS sees his cake, open his presents, sees all his friends. I hope he likes it all.

Had DS birthday party on the weekend. It was supposed to be at the park but because of he winds we had to change it to at home in the garage! But still, the kids and more importantly DS had a great time. He got loads of presents which he is stoked about. He also got his big boy bed/bedroom and he absolutely loves it and so do I. It looks awsome. I will try and load photos tomorrow and put them up for people to see.

Thanks for allowing me to vent my happiness and frustrations here reg DS birthday- you've all been great for listening (reading :))
