Our Little Miss Elliotte is currently screaming and I'm not 100% sure why.

I think she may have burps but she wont bring them up.

I have tried patting her back, rubbing her back, patting/rubbing her tummy, cycling her legs, bouncing as I walk, walking up and down the stairs (i've heards that can work)

She gets like a feeding frenzy when she is crying her answer is to feed more, but then she gets sad starts crying and then that gets to screaming.
Normally during the day and most feeds she feeds for 20 - 30 minutes and has a few issues with her tummy.

These are things that I feel may be symptoms

Gurling tummy (constantly)
hic ups
vomiting
gagging
upset after feeding

other stuff just tired after a day of sadness...

I am so sorry that no one has gotten back to you yet. Even 1 minute can seem like an eternity with a screaming bub.

When this happens in my household it usually means bub is over tired. It is really hard to settle her when she gets this way.

I hope someone else can help you soon. Don't you just wish they could tell you what is wrong sometimes. Good luck

Please check out the website www.reflux.org.au to check if it might be reflux. There is a list of symptoms on there. That is how we found out that DS2 had reflux. It sounds very similar to that, it might be better to rule out all the possibilities.

Oh, and please eat something. If you are worried that it might be something that you are eating then just stick with plain stuff for now and don't have any dairy until you work it out. It is not going to help either of you if you don't eat.

Hi LP, just wanted to give you some of these :hugs::hugs::hugs:..

I hope that you have been able to talk to someone helpful in real life.

A lot of those things sound like what my DD2 are doing, plus other things. I am sure my DD2 has silent reflux paed put her on meds but we found she was gagging and then projectile vomitting on it so stopped and the last week has been a nightmare, we are waiting to hear what else we can try her on.

I hear you on the feeling like what your eating may be causing it. Its awful watching your baby feed and then scream and think to yourself did I some how cause that. As PP said try to eat plain food but keep eating to keep yourself healthy cos bub needs a healthy mum.

LP are you BF? If so, sounds like lactose overload to me :)

Stay on the one breast for 2 hours of feeding before switching. This will settle your supply and you should notice an improvement in about 36 hours.

If she is bottle feeding that could sill be the problem and it may be a matter of looking at her formula. Have a google of "lactose overload" and see if that helps at all.

It can be so hard sometimes :hugs:

It sounds a lot like what I went through with both my little boys.

They both have reflux (& had to go on meds), & I had to stop feeding them both as they also have milk protein probs & they needed to be put on Elecare.

Can you get in to see a paed & get her checked?

Another thing that has helped my 3 mth old, is taking him to the chiro. Gosh I wish I'd tried this with DS2, the results are amazing. He's gone from being in pain, unsettled & not sleeping, to sleeping through from around 10pm to 5 or 6 am. DP & I were very sceptical (him much more than me), but the results speak for themselves.

Good luck & I hope you get some answers.
