Firstly, I know LITTLE about Vegan diets.

I came across this clip online and it seems rather fascinating.

I had severe morning sickness with all of my pregnancies. We would like to have another baby but I will be honest and say I am scared to because of morning sickness.

What do you guys think?

Are you Vegan or Vegetarian?

Did you have morning sickness?

I know there are many women that eat meat etc and don't have morning sickness but when there are countries around the world that have low morning sickness rates and the women there are vegan, it does seem to make sense. IYKWIM

Sounds bogus to me, morning sickness is purely due to the amount of pregnancy hormones your body produces which can differ between pregnancies.

Yeah sorry but I've been vegan for 22 years and this is my second pregnancy and have been wretchedly sick both times (from about 6-13 weeks)!
I also did some googling this time around and found something about that people from hunter gatherer tribes (and so with a fairly high animal protein diet) didn't get morning sickness!
I tried boosting my protein with protein shakes for a few days but it didn't work.
I think when you've got it (or know it's coming) you want to believe anything to save yourself!

I was vegetarian through my entire pregnancy, and vegan when my morning sickness started.

I had 12 weeks of horrid morning sickness.:(

I'm an enthusiastic long-time veggo with a veggo partner raising a veggo child, but I find those suprememasterTV people a little wacky.

They play that station at a vegan cafe we sometimes visit, and we're always perplexed. I don't think overstating the benefits of veganism helps the cause.

And, I feel the same way - morning sickness is one of the things turning me off another baby.
