How many times in 24 hours should I expect my exclusively breastfed 3 month old DD to poo?

dont quote me on it but i heard from a CHN anything from 1 to 10 times a day is ok

each child is different... so its hard to tell...

we always used to call me dd a poop machine... she always did them... she was exclusivley breast fed too...

i woukld be changing her nappies every couple of hours...

whereas in mothergroup their babies were doing one a day... if that...

so i think it depends greatly on the individual child

Thanks! I heard the up to 10 times thing from my GP but thought that was newborns only. DD probably does 6 or more a day.

They can even got several days without doing a poo so don't be too concerned if that happens either - unless they go past the 7 day mark. My DD used to do a couple a day then at about 3mths old went to doing a poo every 5th or so day.........now it's once a day.

My DD would poo every feed (3hrly during day). Now that we have tentatively started solids, I've noticed that she's pooing maybe 3x a day instead.
