This may sound like a really silly question, but just wondering how you know when your ovulating?? I have read a few posts on here about temperatures and charts. I have two kids but both were suprises so never had to know before.

It is hard to say if your not using or doing something, everyone has different signs of ovulation. Not everyone gets 'o' pains. I have only just figured out that my bbs hurt 1 day before 'o' and stop hurting 2 days before AF. Doing your bbt is one of the best ways to see you have ovulated, but it tells you that after the fact, maybebaby and OPK's are great and bbt charting. I have found by charting my bbt, cm and cp, it has really made me aware of what is going on with my body and I've only been doing it a month. Give it a go it can't hurt. oooh I sound like and ad:D

hi mum2girls - i use ovulation test stips, i got them of ebay - cheap, and they work. i also take my temp, and i have a pretty regular cycle so my temp dips around CD14 or CD15 (cycleday), then it rises, and that along with the positive pee strips tell me that i "probably" ovulated!

have you tried fertility friend?

Hello  . I bought an ovulation thermometer from the chemist which is designed specifically for this purpose. I take my temperature at the same time every morning (6am). I set my alarm to do it. You must have had 3 or more hours sleep before hand. Take your temp while you are still lying in bed. Do it before you get up to go to the toilet etc. I then put this data onto www.fertilityfriend.com. You can join for free or pay to get more advanced charting features and analyzations. This program analyses your chart and gives you an indication of when you are fertile and have ovulated based on your temperatures and other data (eg CM) you have entered. Take a look at my chart on fertility friend by clicking on the link below where my signature is. I found out I ovulated on CD16 this cycle based on my temperatures and I am now 7 days post ovulation (waiting to test) :) .
