Hi Shannon,
My name is Sarah and I've recently moved to Dalby with my husband Wade (30) and our two sons Nathan (2.5) and PJ (6mnths). I don't know anyone in the area and I'm starting to get a bit lonely and would love someone to chat with.
If you would be interested, that would be great!
Cheers

Finally...a few more mums are popping up on this side of Toowoomba!! My two girls are Mackenzie (2 1/4) and Charlee 6 1/2 weeks...I too don't know that many mums around the place and i have lived in Chinchilla for 4 years!! Its hard getting out there at first to meet people, and i'm not really confident at making new friends. If you would like to get together sometime, let me know...being around the same age, our oldest two should get along alright. There is also another mum from bubhub, Michelle who lives in Dalby with a 5 month old girl, i will email her and see if she wants to get together as well. Sounds like a plan. Feel free to email me anytime, my address is smcclure@aapt.net.au :p

I would love to!!!!!!!!!! :o
I'm not that great about getting out to meet new people, I find it very hard to make the first step. But I've been very down for the last few weeks, and have been making my hubbys life (and the kids) pretty hard for him. We moved out here for his job and I love the area, but I'm out of touch.
I've sent Michelle a reply to her thread as well. I'm very keen to catch up.
I'll email you, but here is mine anyway, nat_pj@bigpond.net.au
I am free pretty much anytime - well except for next Friday. But other than that I have no plans!
Looking forward to catching up.

Hi Shannon,

I'm in Toowoomba but we go out to Chinchilla often as DH and his family are from there and he still has family out that way!

I have a 5yr, and 2yr and a 6.5mth old.

Hi, how are you? No-one's replied to this thread for a while, so i was surprised to see a reply! There are quite a few mums in Toowoomba, its a pity its so far from here...for a day trip anyhow...

My little girls are now nearly 2 1/2, and 13 weeks, god times flown! I don't know how you manage three kids either...its hard enough with two!! My hubby works away alot so its like i'm like a single mum sometimes, i don't how single mothers do it either! At least i get a break on weekends and whenever else he's home.

So you come out to Chinchilla often huh? There are quite a few people i've met that either come from here or have family here...its a small world really.

Oh well, i'd better go, try and get some sleep. I don't know why i'm not in bed yet, i guess i just had to get my daily fix of bubhub after being out all day! This is about the only time i get enough peace and quiet to do it! When everyone else is in bed!

Ciao, Shannon

Hi again,

Yeah there wouldn't be too many mums out there as it's not exactly a hugely populated area!

We try to go out often but haven't lately due to hubby working full-time and studying full-time...I know what you mean about feeling like a single parent! So glad I'm not really!

One of our counsins out there just had her 2nd boy a couple of months back...you probably already know her too! My hubby's family seem to be everywhere out there! Hardy's, Downes, Blair's, etc. Hubby grew up out there and I had never heard of the place till I met him when his family moved to Townsville.

Anyway, better keep going! Take care

Hey there, there's a Ross Downes that lives two doors up from us, but i don't know the other names. We've been here for 4 yrs and i still don't know that many people...though if your cousin put an announcement in the local rag, then i probably read it....

Its surprising how many people don't know anything about Chinchilla, like where it is even! But then there are people over on the coast that say 'oh, i know where that is', or 'i have family out there'!

Better go, hubby is home for the night, and i'd better not ignore him too much! :p

Wow...you were up late (or early, depending on how you look at it) writing that post! I can't imagine being up at that time, unless I had kiddy problems...i'm lucky in that regard, as i have two pretty good sleepers at the moment. Actually, i don't think i've ever been up that late with them! Lucky me!

I've been alright...we've all had a spate of being sick the last week, seems to be do the rounds...better now though. I hate seeing little kids spewing and that, its horrible when you can't do much for them.... :(

How have you been? Have you had much rain there? We've had 36 mls in the last week, thank god, we need it! But i guess everywhere does at the moment....

How are your kiddies doing? Haven't been sick? I hope not, i wouldn't wish it on anyone, let alone kids...

Oh, well, better go feed bubs...take care...

Hey Shannon!

Sorry to hear about you all being sick...it is horrible! Thankfully we have all been well...I have been getting my migraines back...3 just last week...but other than that we are good.

All the kids are good too.

Yes...Nadia's been gnawing madly lately so I think her teeth maybe coming plus she has decided not to go to bed early...but then she does sleep in till almost 9am! She is still awake now...fighting it though!!

I actually didn't get to bed till 2am...got lost in cleaning the house (no kids to distract me)...but I find it hard to fall asleep even when dead tired!

Anyway, better keep going.
