Does anyone else's child complain about sore legs?

DS is almost 4 and he always complains that his legs hurt when we mention 'shopping' or go shopping. I thought I could mould him into my little shopping buddy.

He's been complaining about them for a while but generally it's when he doesn't particulary want to do something (like shopping) and he'll beg for a trolley- hence not being terribly concerned.

He's also not a very big kid and we've had to practice riding a bike because he's not a strong kid either.

Anyone else got experience with this?

My eldest (now 15) has had such complaints since 3yo, primarily in the evening when she is in be supposed to be going to sleep. I've taken her to doctors numerous times, and been told "probably growing pains" when they fail to find a cause. However, when I research "growing pains" the descriptions dont match with where she feels the pains. Her complaints were arms and legs when she was younger, and more often in the abdomen and chest as she got older.

She also started ice-skating at 8yo, and later gave it up, because she got these pains in her knees. Now she does roller-skating without significant problems, so assumes it was the cold assossiated with ice-skating that caused the difficulty.

Sorry I'm not giving any answers, just a similar, albeit slightly different experience.
