Playgroup SA, a non-profit community based organisation, is the peak association for playgroups in South Australia and currently represents approximately 8,000 families and 10,000 children aged between birth and 5 years of age.
There are approximately 500 playgroups in the state, with many in regional areas.
A Playgroup is a group of mums, dads, grandparents & caregivers who meet together each week in various venues with their babies, toddlers and preschoolers for interaction & fun.
Playgroup sessions provide babies & young children with invaluable opportunities to learn from play and also gives parents the opportunity to meet and interact with other parents within the community.
