poor little poo!!

took DS to the doctor on monday night..... had been nagging his dad to take him all weekend as i had to work and knew he was sick.

turns out the poor little poo has a middle ear infection in both ears, a throat infection and a chest infection!!!!! :crying: he's on heavy duty nasal spray and the strongest child ibuprofen available and antibiotics!! :(

stupid DS's dad saying "he's not that sick, look how happy he is!!" (he bought him in to work to see me) yeah but who's the person getting up five times a night cos the little poo can't sleep?? arrgghhh, why doesn't he ever just bloody listen to me??? i think i know my DS better than he does. stupid stupid stupid man!!! :banghead:

lucky he finally slept all night last night...... that nasal spray works wonders....i even got him to eat properly for the first time in four days!! looks like he's going to be ok (no thanks to his idiot father!!) !!

anybody got any ideas on how to help little poo a bit extra without any more medication?? he won't sit still for massages or anything like that, but any other ideas would be more than welcome....

I hate it when you get to the Dr & find out they have had an ear or throat infection it makes you feel bad that they have had that pain for days before you did anything about it :crying:
It will be much easier when they can tell us.

You could try to do a little massage while he is watching Tv (just on his back with some baby balsalm) or while he is tired and sleepy.
Try that Breures(sp?) Recovery Tonic they have at the chemist( i have found it quite good when DD is or has been sick) it's in a purple and white box.
Also you can pop a vapouriser on during the day & at night in his room.
