Hi Ladies
I start my first round of clomid tomorrow and forgot to ask the spcialist if i can take a multi as well.. the pharmist said yes...so 1st question is did u take a multi with clomid??
So now im wondering if anyone has heard of Fefol.. I have heard great reviews and not to mention the price is AWESOME..but want to speak to somone first hand.
Thanks for your help :p
Hi:wave:
I had Fefol with my first baby when I was 16 and it was an inexpensive and very effective product. But isn't it just iron or folic acid on it's own? I dont recollect whic, but Im pretty certain it wasn't a multivitamin, although it was 10 years ago, so my memory may be failing me:laughing: I take Elevit and find it quite good, although definitely more expensive. Prior to this, I used to take the breastfeeding and pregnancy vitamin which I think was Blackmores:confused: you can get it from Woolworths anyway and it is the middle man for price. I do recall getting told that Blackmores contains fish oil which is important, whereas the Elevit did not, so I had to buy it separately which again is an extra expense. I have recently been diagnosed with mild pcos which they have guessed started about 2-3 years ago, when I had a range of health things happen to me, so its been no surprise Im adding it to the list! We are now deciding whether to continue ttc and get clomid to help us, or just put me on the Yasmin bcp for 6 months, but the pill never sits well with me so we're at a crossroads as to what to do next. What made your decision for you to definitely go ahead with clomid, if you don't mind me asking? And how are/have you been going with it? It's strange to now be on this side of the ttc coin, as previously I didn't appear to have an issue. It's amazing what a piece of information will do to your priorities y'know? Anyway, I recommend the fefol, but maybe see what your Dr says about it? Sorry about the:ecomcity:

splishnspash - Sorry, yes that is the one i am talking about lol. So you found it good then? :)
5fornow - Sorry it is the pregnancy multi that i ment lol.. But the reasons i am going on it is because we have been TTC for 11 months now with no success. All the test came back with nothing wrong apart from possible mild PCOS. So after a month and a half of being poked and prodded my specialist is almost certain this will work. I also stopped getting periods about 4 months ago now, which was very bizarre as i have been clock work my whole life.. I am only starting it today so i will let you know how it goes..fingers crossed for me :p and you ;)

Yes, you only have to take 1 a day and they are cheap. I have never had problems with nausea or constipation while on them. The tablet is a liquid form and is big but easy to swallow. I take mine before bed everynight.
Good luck
Hi Hunterzmummy
Its fine to take a multi with clomid (and a good idea as clomid can make you feel headachy and tired). I havnt heard of fefol but the contents of it sound good. The best tip I was given when I started clomid was to take it at night just before bed this way you sleep through most of the side effects. Not everyone gets side effects but doing that has really helped me. I still get some bad headaches, tired, dizzy and achy ovaries but a lot better when i take it at night. Good luck and hopefully clomid will help you get that BFP.

Although i havent had clomid or anything luckily, i was on elevit from about wk 5 and my son had very low risks associated with the 12wks scans and blood test eg. downs or spina bifida.
I also bought iodised salt (the green package) and used that instead of regular sea salt.
good luck :yelclap:
