How much sleep for a 5-6month old?

Hi, does anyone know how much sleep a 5month needs/6month needs? My bub used 2 sleep all day long lol. He just started to have like x3 10min sleep during the day but still has his night sleep. What do the drs think is the correct amount of sleep for him?

I've got the Sounds for Silence cd which comes with a book on sleeping/settling. It reckons that a 6 mth old should be getting approx 14 hrs of sleep each day & suggests that 10hr of this is night sleep & the other 4hrs makes up the day sleeps.
