View Full Version : Green Kids Nappies?
Hi,
I'm new to this whole cloth nappy thing and would really like to try a Green Kids AIO on my DSS who is almost 4 but only about 12kg he's a skinny little man just like his dad.
I'm not sure if i should buy a new one just to try to see if it will fit or not or if anyone has a older one that they dont really need anymore (doesnt matter if it is thread bear and falling apart) that i could buy off you just to see how it goes?
Thanks so much,
Emma.

Well, I have some green kids. My 2 year (12-13kg) is too big for them!! :( Lucky my 6 month girl can still wear them. They are great though.
I know that peapods make a similar style nappy in larger sizes and so do Sandra's Stuffables. I have 1 peapods & its fine. I havn't tried Sandra's yet though.

Sorry, I cant sell you one of mine... still using them :o
I love Sandra's Stuffables pockets and can highly recommend both Green Kid's and Sandra's for their fantastic customer service. They both communicate regularly with you so you know your order status or if any problems have come up.
The Green nappies that I have are their original design but they've since come out with newer and better models :) so I can't comment on them.

I have several Green Kids pocket nappies and their Hemparoo inserts.
They are a great pocket nappy.
Just remember to wash the inserts several times prior to using ( I just threw in with several normal washing loads prior to actually using them).

Ok well i have a very big boy with my DS he is approx 14kgs now & is very tall for his age & is currently wearing a size 2.
He is still happily wearing his Green's & still has a while to go before he will stop.
If anything the only trouble we will have with them is because he is very long in his body so they are starting to become low rise nappies.
They are a great nappy i highly recommend them as my favs.
My suggestion would be to buy a starter pack & trial them out otherwise as you said try & get your hands on an oldie from another user. I would offer but ive already given a couple away now & im not really able to lose another otherwise my stash wont be enough to get us through our two days sorry :o
Sasha from Greens is incredibly helpful & if you email her she will be more than willing to talk with you & help you with any questions in regards to their fit etc.
Good luck hopefully this is just the start of a great cloth adventure :)
Thanks for all your help, guess i should just bite the bullett and buy the starter pack, guess it cant hurt even if it doesnt fit, can always keep it for future bubs :D
although i think they may be like low rise nappies on him too!
So i finally got around to ordering my first Green Kids Nappy...... but they are away for a few days and i would like to ask a few questions first so i will have to leave it till they get back :(
