Ozzy has a rash in the nappy area and this morning when I took his nappy off he has in the bladder area a large red sore! I am completely confused as to what caused the sore it is as big as a $20c piece and looks like someone has just taken to his skin with a piece of sandpaper in that area!
Any ideas of what it could be? Or how to fix it?

i would probably take him to the doctors. just to get it checked. does it look like a blister? it could be a school sore??
It sounds a bit like thrush. Any anti fungal cream should clear it up, if that's what it is.

I swear by Daktozin. It is a nappy rash type cream that has an anti-fungal in it also so it clears things up really quickly.
Good luck:)

Yes I agree Daktozin is the best!
hey OM
Jack had something similar to that (or at least it sounded similar) a few months ago .. and I had to go to the DRs.. cause NOTHING I had even moved it .. (I tried sudocrem.. bepanthen.. the amolin cream etc ..)
he said it was an ezema type spot and could only be helped with a steriod based cream. Within 24hrs of using the cream .. the spot was skin coloured (still slightly raised) and within 2-3 days it was GONE!!
if the creams at home dont move it .. I would head for the GP .. I couldn't believe the reaction the creams got!!
(Jack's spot was just above his 'bits' :D - about the size of a 20c piece.. and looked kinda like a slightly raised.. rough spot of sunburn)

Well I took Oz to the Dr's and it is a fungal type thing and they gave me a steroid to put on it, which I am not really keen on doing but will have to just bite my tongue and do it! I put the first lot on last night and it looks better this morning so hopefully I don't need to use the steroid for more than a day or 2!;)
