New member saying Hi

I am new to this site and thought I would say Hi to everyone :wave:

My DP and I moved to Brisbane a year ago from NSW.

We have 2 DD, almost 4 and almost 2, and I am pregnant, due 5 October with a boy :D

In March my partner got a job on the west side of Brisbane. Due to the fuel costs and tolls we decided to move a bit closer to his work.

If anyone is around the Wacol area and would like to meet up I would love to hear from you.

I am also very unfamiliar with doctors/hospitals etc around Brisbane as both my DD were born in NSW. I am booked in to the Ipswich hospital as it is closer to where I live. Has anyone had children at this hospital?

Lastly, I am looking for a good daycare for my DD. I have found a couple at Forest Lake and Jindalee area. Could anyone recommend any?

Hey, Im what you'd class as Wacol area... Im preggers with my first due at Christmas!

I'm booked into the Ipswich hopsital at the moment, but will be changing as I'm moving shortly. (Offically moving)... I've been really happy with Ippy hospital when it comes to the antenatal ward... but with the emergancy department, they suck. They got my files mixed up, with a very serious health issue with my bub and me.

Sorry can't recommend any child care centres except for over Logan way where I'm moving :)

hi welcome to brissy. i live in algester which is about 15 minutes away from wacol.

i am sorry i can't recommend a daycare as i stay at home with my little one as there are no spaces available in my area.

good luck finding one. if you get stuck i am not doing anything during the day and would be happy to be a backup for you if need be. feel free to pm me if you get stuck.

Congrats on the pregnancy. Are you going to find out what you are having? I wanted to with my first (and second) but they both had their legs crossed.

I am actually a STHM too but I just wanted to put my daughter into preschool/daycare for about 2 days a week to meet other kids and have a bit of fun really.

Before we moved to Brisbane my DD used to play with her cousin all the time and when we moved she really didn't have anyone around her age.

I'm a SAHM to DD 4 and DS 20mthsand I live not far away in Redbank Plains. I had DS in Ipswich hostpital and I couldn't fault them.
I can recomend a good Dr in Redbank plains if you with.
There are a few of us in the area who sometimes meet up so hopefully we can meet up some time.

Oh where in NSW are you from. I moved here for Sydney a few years ago.

I am close to wacol area as well. I am a SAHM with two girls dd1 is 3.5 & dd2 is 2 yrs.
I can't really help you out with the hospital as I have only recently moved from Toowoomba, I actaully have no idea where the ipswhich hospital is :o .

I also have my dd's on a waiting list for daycare, I used to work so they are missing the interaction with the kids from there old daycare. Hopefully soon a place will come available. Good luck with everything.
