Can you tell us what kind things this girl is into? Hobbies etc? It might help

 Hmmm... when I was 16 I was into, music, make-up, clothes & boys.

But, if you want to get a keepsake or something, maybe something for her glory box? I've seen those cute tea sets around that are pink & aqua with posh ladies on them (do you know what I mean?). My sil is 18 & has been collecting them for her glory box.

Good luck!

maybe a gift voucher for a music shop so she can go buy a cd/dvd she wants.

Is she a girly girl?? if she is you can buy big packs of make-up from shops like target/kmart for around $30.. and they have everything in them... all different colours of eye shadow/lip gloss ect.

Good luck:thumbsup:

Gawd, good luck. I wouldn't even venture into that territory I am so out of touch.

16 year olds are scarey.

I'd go with a voucher.

I'm a voucher lover!!! So i would go with that... (any excuse to shop)

at 16 i was into 'surf brand' anything.

Lipgloss is always popular!

Jewellery from Diva? cheap but great:yes:

Yea, I'd go for a voucher...

I know when I was 16 (wasn't that long ago..... feels like forever) I didn't have much money but I loved shopping. I asked for money for my birthday so i could go "proper" shopping with my girlfriends.

My sis is 15, and we have gotten her vouchers for the last few years. Jay Jays ones are always popular, as they have cheaper clothes alot of the time, so they could get a few things out of one voucher? Either that or a surf shop one. Play it safe....

Vouchers for music, clothing or book shops.

Supplies for a hobby.

My 15 y.o. DD has requested we start a "Glory Box" for her, so she will have the guts of household requirements if she moves out of home. She's thinking ahead in case she needs to move out to attend uni somewhere other than close to home in 2009. She's happy for people to buy her items towards that, like kitchenware, linen, towels etc.

Been thinking about it LOL - I'm just as stuck for my 16yo brother! (any ideas?) anyway... don't know how much they cost but maybe some open tickets to movies? can you get those where you don't specify the movie.. I guess its a voucher
My only excuse for the rambling is being early, in pyjamas still letting caffeine kick in LOL:wave:

My teens are always asking for mobile phone credit, we constantly have our hands in our wallets coz they have ran out of the credit (they are 17,16 and 14)
or the jay jays voucher for sure as i just went and asked my kids for you:laughing:
