Bald patch

Not sure if this is the correct place to be posting this....

I noticed recently that my 8 1/2 week old DD has a bald patch long the back of her head. It appears to be where her head rests on the mattress and goes from ear to ear. Is it from her rubbing the mattress with her head?

Yep, it's from rubbing her head on the mattress, no big deal, perfectly normal.
My DS is losing his hair all over the joint, he's got a receding hairline :laughing: and a bald patch at the back. DD was the same, born with plenty of hair but lost it all within the first 3 months. :thumbsup:

Yup, same thing happened to my daughter. Bald patch at the back, and it has thinned a lot on top too. We joke that she has inherited her grandad's hairstyle... :laughing:

Pefectly normal, and yes, it is caused by the rubbing of the back of the head on the matress - baby hair is so fine that it just "rubs off" so to speak. It will grow back!
