Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone knows if early labour is common when you have PCOS?

I'm 33 weeks atm and I just keep having these strong feelings i will go early. i just don't feel right. lol.

I have PCOS, I am 35 weeks now, l had my first son at 41 weeks, so it certainly didn't cause an early labour with him.

I'm sorry this isn't a very scientific answer.

I can't say that I have noticed any difference just from my own experience observing other people.

but a friend of mine with really persistent PCOS who finally conceived twins after years of IVF was told by her fertility specialist that women who need IVF due to underlying hormonal issues (like pcos) can often go early... adn they don't really understand why...

Maybe it depends on whether you needed ivf or not?

I'm afraid though that your feelings might be just from getting uncomfortable etc.

I feel like I can't *possibly* stay pregnant another 3 weeks..

But my own history tells me that I probably will (two previous pregnancies both overdue)

The last weeks can get really uncomfortable.

I have PCOS and needed clomid to get pregnant both times. #2 is still 'cooking', so I can't coment on that, but #1 has well and truly hatched.

He was 4 1/2 weeks prem, but I don't think this had anything to do with the PCOS. I saw my ob 2 days before I went into labour and nothing appeared abnormal. At my 8 week check up I asked if there was any reason I went early and he said that the baby just wanted out.
